Tonight was the first Lovelight. OMG! They tear this s*** up man! It doesn't get any better than hearing pigpen at the top of his game going "just a little bit higher, now!" And the alligator is probably my favorite version. The sun's always shining when I hear alligator. And at the end when they do the looney tune broke-down merry go-round theme...priceless! This is a true testament of their prankster side! This is SOO worth the download.

An old standby. It'd be nice if someone found the rest of the recordings from this week-long stand at the O'Keefe ... There's a great interview floating about the Interbuts with Bonnie Dobson, the woman who wrote the song "Morning Dew". Apparently she lived in Toronto or near there and knew that the Dead covered her song (she had heard and enjoyed the version on the band's debut album).
