Soundboard. Killer hard blues solo on Death Don't Have No Mercy. This Mercy is worth a listen!

This is where I fist realized that we are all one- amid the smoke of a rising fire it all burns together and the phoenix rises as one. Out of New Potato Caboose, I arose to find that the Grateful Dead were manifest of some outer existence contained within. The paradox is fitting, as for the music, merely the sun’s own tears!- the rays of sun, dancing in a million ways but illumined by same reason, to go forth into day, as they are beyond themselves in a transitively embodied form.

Just HAD to write a review for this one on 11/11/11....Sound is outstanding. If that is Pigpen on keyboards, it is the best I've ever heard him, just fantastic! Great "That's It For The Other One" sequence, with altered words in TOO, something to the effect of "couldn't write my name"....long, jammed out Cryptical into another fabulous New Potato Caboose....can't get enough!

One of several very good shows in 1967. Pigpen is great--he was certainly more consistently good than the other singers at this time. All the songs are well done. I like this New Potato, which has some great jamming. Death Don't Have No Mercy is also hot. There's no Born Cross-eyed because they hadn't started playing it yet.
