Although muffled, the clarity and richness are very present in this recording. The concert itself is the finest document one could hope for in from this distant era. It's, of course, nothing releasable, since it is a 1969 audience recording, but the band is clearly right-on target, heavily inspired, and start-to-finish, energized. High point of the times, perhaps.

I am giving the 5 stars to the show, which is superb. The quality is probably a 3, but, since you can hear the lyrics and guitar, your ear gets used to it. Phil’s sound is muddled a lot of the time. But a top-notch Morning Dew, a Dark Star from the golden age of Dark stars (late summer ’68 –to- mid/late ’69), and Jerry rips into everything. I always like hearing New Potato (though the organ is barely audible).
