I would not call this soundboard degraded either. The muddiness is there, but certainly this is not much worse than a number of these Jan./Feb. shows, so you should not pass this up if you're a nut about early '69 like me. More importantly, almost all of these shows are absolute face-stealers, this being no exception. The first set is very nice, and things get going pretty quickly with a raunchy GMLSG. The Dark Star>St. Steven>Eleven, though, is where things get serious.

A great show and a new discovery for me!I really didn't mind the sound quality - I've heard a lot worse for sure. Strong show all around but the excellent Morning Dew and Eleven->Death Don't stand out for me. After listening to a string of '68 shows, it's amazing to hear how far Dark Star had come in a year and this rendition is excellent with some fascinating passages. Thanks for posting!

They are "amazing" , firing on all cylinders, a loaded gun shooting all there bullets, cool as a pistole hot inside, super hot show. They are all on fire. Love all the songs. Pigpen's passion on Death has no Mercy. I am blown away Thank you for a very good time.
