  • ★★★★★ · The GRATEFUL DEAD "Live On Stage" May 24, 1969 at the Seminole Indian Village, Hollywood, FL, U.S.A. · oh_uh_um_ah · 2009

` ~^|\_@|@_/|^~ ~ / \ ~ Classic 1969 sound. Solid performances of the 69' set list. ALLIGATOR!!! If you are a fan of the original GRATEFUL DEAD you'll want this show. I recommend adding this show to your 1969 GRATEFUL DEAD collection. And for your 1968 GRATEFUL DEAD collection I highly recommend you check out this show: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1968-08-21.sbd.unknown.1183.shnf The aforementioned show is probably one of the best "live" GRATEFUL DEAD shows ever recorded.

  • ★★★★★ · Fantastic · rollandfin · 2006

This show is great, short of a dark star, and any further connection to the workingman's material that would blend into the later half of 69, this show has it all, and great sound to boot. Ever made a mix tape/cd that stuck in your car stereo for so long that the combinations solidify in your head, strong enough that when you hear a song from the mix elsewhere in life, you involuntarily hear the next mix-track in your head?

  • ★★★★★ · nobody seems to have mentioned lovelight · Dylan M · 2011

A unique and noteworthy version. They closed the night before with Lovelight and opened this day with it. Wonder how people felt about hearing the same song twice back to back? Either way I would have been psyched cause this lovelight is completely different from the previous days. More exploratory and uninhibited than the before nights closer. Naturally the Alligator>St.Stephen is also worth mentioning. One of the top shows of 1969 for sure.
