Always loved this show for Garcia's sublime countrified guitar playing and the melllllllloooowww vibe throughout. Without a b-bender he manages to coax some really beautiful pedal steely sounds out of his guitar. Check out the Black Peter and Baby Blue to see what I mean. [wipes tears from eyes] And then there's the Pig with his sweet organ playing plainly audible on every song and how about that howling during Hurts Me Too? Yikes.

This really suprised me for an AUD master, I could've sworn it was just another late sixties fuzzed out board...but hey, other than listening to Harry Ely snap his fingers during Cumberland Blues, this tape is a good listen.

A great performance, but sadly what sounds like a poorly seated 1/8th inch mic plug renders the first couple of songs nearly unlistenable. Tant pis....
