This show is a great exsample of that time period when they transitioned from all out pschedelic craziness into the layed back country hits that have become such a hudge part of the deads setlists threw out there exsistence. On the heals of "Workingmans Dead" these new songs would develop into some of the deads finiest sets. In the thirty year history of the "Grateful Dead" they played the second highest number of shows in 1970 with 142 shows.

Only up to CR&S but what a great sound. Bob's really crisp in the mix and he's playin' great. Vocals are spot on. Drums sound great. Jerry's singing his heart out. I can almost see Phil's head bobbin'. Can't wait for Good Lovin'. You really probably need this one.

this is still some of the awesomest Dead you'll find. It's a real pity in particular that we don't have all of this Dancing in the Street: incredible jam.
