Along with the previous nights performance, this show is one of the best the Grateful Dead performed in the Pigpen (or any) era. The band are on fire! There are some fantastic jams in the electric songs such as Caution and Not Fade Away. But the acoustic set is fantastic too with great readings of Dark Hollow, I've Been All Around This World, Uncle John's Band and others. I love that the Dead in 1970 started doing small acoustic sets along with their electric ones.

Not really a review. I was there for this show, the late show. It was amazing in so many ways. I was there with some friends, we watched from the edge of the balcony. It was just magical, I could see their chemistry, I remember thinking that they had the spark and the drive and so aware of each other. And the music came together so well. There was maybe 200 or 300 people there. The blew the audience away. It ended early in the morning. My life was not the same after that. I still love the Dead.
