I will rate this show a 5 on the basis of the Lovelight alone. I don't know what disgruntledgoat is talking about-far less impressive than the beginning of the set? This 31-minute monstrosity of a Lovelight is the peak of the Grateful Dead experience. Forget about the sound quality and instead pay attention to the great music that's being created here.

It's no 6/24/70 but It's got an endearing quality to it. ADVICE for AUD HATERS: If you can’t get past the s***** quality of an aud go find an aud that’s worse and listen to that for a while. Then go back to the slightly less s***** one (set one of 6/21/69 is always a good palate cleanser for me). Your ears will adjust if you exercise a little patience people! Try listening on different speakers and using EQ (some bad auds sound best on a iphone speaker).

ohhhhhhhh man is this show underrated!!! insanely beautiful acoustic "rider"... acoustic 1970 new speedway (always incredible)...black peter is phenominal and this is a spot-on UJB with excellent harmonies, super strong. i mean, unbelieveable easy wind & high time!? the ending sequence is sublime! pigpen is just full of dirt, booze & soul. this is now my favorite lovelight, by farrrrrrrr.
