    People throw 5 star ratings around far too freely, and that leaves no room to properly rate the REAL 5 star shows -- those extraordinary nights that people talk about years afterward and say "I was there, best concert I ever saw." This is that kind of show. There are a few moments like that in 1970. And all too few after 1980. We ought to be able to give this one 7 or 8 stars.

    I used to get most of my Dead Tapes by taping them off of WBAI in NYC, and I got this one back in 96 by that method. It was awesome then, and it is even better now. That tape only had the late show, and no NRPS. This tape was one of the jewels of my collection (along with 5/24/69, 5/11/72 and 6/18/74) and I used to give copies of it as gifts for my friends BDs and at Christmas. And now I can again.
