Had this for many years as a filler on 2/14/70, Set I. NFA very strong, no "teasing stephen" about it; there's a full-on stephen jam in there! Midnight Hour just rocking with a China Cat jam inside. But Baby Blue takes the cake (even though there are three pauses on this stream - music is all there). Always been my favorite BB. Bobby's noodling on the old Gibson ES is superb. Pig's organ extra churchy, combined with Jerry's voice gives this one my vote for most soulful (and therefore best) BB.

so nice to have the end of this show, only wish we had the whole thing, jamming is tight, drums so crisp, crazy organ and pig sounds so good Set 1: Deep Elem Blues Candyman Silver Threads Friend Of The Devil Cumberland Blues Wake Up Little Susie Swing Low Sweet Chariot Uncle John's Band Set 2: Casey Jones Me And My Uncle Hard To Handle Not Fade Away Midnight Hour Encore: It's All Over Now Baby Blue

Snippet of NFA has nice St. Stephen jam, Bobby high in the mix. Good recording, guitars out front. Midnight hour is funky and well played and the Baby Blue is moving and mature. Great band, great era, great music, and most of all, great web site. Thank you archive.

Lineage via Dan McDonald (droncit@yahoo.com): Master Audience Cassette->Nakamichi BX-1 (modified for flat transfer)-> Tascam DR-07MK2 (24-bit, 96kHz); DC8Forensics was used to apply the NAB curve for normal bias cassettes. Converted to 16-bit, 44.1kHz using 32-bit interpolation and a triangular high pass dither. After the NAB curve in a multifilter I applied a virtual vale and overtone generator for lost harmonics and used a channel blender to blend below 150 Hz to mono to minimize mic handling noise. · ★ 4.33 · 33,130 dl
