This is a really soild performance! Though I'm not wild about the song list in set 1, things end with a strong China>Rider with a terrific solo from Bob during the segue and hot leads from Jerry in Rider. Set 2 is where most of action is though, diving deep almost immediately with a classic Dark Star, perhaps the 2nd best performance of pre-Keith 71. The pre-verse segment is magnificent, with some very focused, intense interplay between Jerry, Bob, and Phil, Ned contributing ghostly fills.

The entire month was blistering and this show is no exception. The recording is gorgeous though the mix is a little low on the vocals. If you want to try something fun... the separation on this show is so good that if you listen only to the left you can hear just the Bobby part, and conversely the right is just Jerry. Much fun.

This one is a trip! Sound quality is close to SKULL AND ROSES except where the volume FREQUENTLY drops or vanishes altogether for a few moments. You can make a very listenable 2-CD set with this material if you work at it with audio-editing software. Be merciless.
