the Grateful Dead cd. Technically has tracks from 25-29th. I should listen to all of them from this run. Nice Second that Emotion.

That this show features what are likely the best-ever performances of Hard to Handle AND Good Lovin alone garners five stars. The improv in both of these songs is absolutely second-to-none, some of the band's greatest playing I've EVER heard in all my years of listening. A helluva way to kick off this legendary Fillmore East run!

3rd stop in NyC area for 1971 and it was only late April. one of the advantages of the Fillmore is it is relatively Hassle Free--Don't underestimate the Vibe! The jam in Hard to Handle has been intense April 71 Jerry scorching it and Weir playing rhythm like he is on a Ukulele. Phil brings constant riff , Pig rapping, Billy letting loose on the skins.
