This is one f the best GD shows I have ever heard. Far better than Austin 11/15/71 imho. I am content to listen to this version although I do have the ability to turn down the extra bass on my system. Does it get much better than good dead?!

New Riders opened for them right? The Dead played for hours! Two Questions: Did Jerry play slide for the New Riders in the opening show ,Ike h3 did on their first album? And Was Pigpen still playing with the Dead then? I can’t remember.

Not the best recording here on the Archive, but thank you for preserving this. Awesome setlist and lots of energy
