This was my first Grateful Dead concert and I remember a couple of things about it. I distinctly remember the introductory pa announcement about throwing frisbees and the enormous sound system in place. I had thought for years that this was the famous "wall of sound" but realized later that this was only a precursor of that system. Still, wow. I also remember sitting up in the "balcony" area on the left side of the stage rather than on the floor.

Maybe it's just that I'm psyched to go see the remainder of the Boys next week, but this GSET seems to me tonight to be somewhat, um, AWESOME, and I don't particularly like the tune. Had to post and give it a 5 just for that. If all it is is that I'm jazzed up to pretend I'm 20 again for a few hours next week and can't wait, please accept my apologies...

a phenominal show with barely a nod to some of the bands best work. did anybody actually hear loose lucy. one stinkin' comment on GSET. a 5 star half step and nothing. downloaders need this info so give it up. at least they got china-rider right (more than one comment). tonite is part 2. let's see what else they missed?
