I won't spend too long reviewing this show because as far as '73 goes, it's pretty run-of-the-mill. But it's still a '73 Dead show, and very little in life tops that! Of course, everyone knows the Boston Music Hall '73 shows from the Dick's Picks, but that series leaves out any recording of this show, which is maybe for the best. Nothing too groundbreaking happens on this night and there are lots of repeats from the night prior.

- ★★★★★ · Come hear Uncle John's Band... · c-freedom · 2014
Wow, much good music here! It has taken me 3 days to wade thru this show. Perhaps the biggest standout to me is the UNCLE JOHN'S BAND in a PITB sandwich. Also really enjoyed T.L.E.O!!! The sound is so good that you can really follow the musicians and the vocals are clear as well. There is the running banter about returning to your seats. I think the best approach to this stuff was the SPAC show when the kid(s) was up on the light tower and the band threatened to stop playing.
- ★★★★★ · Best banter ever? · rymalia · 2021
This show was featured in The Grateful Dead Hour radio show, episode no. 217 And besides being a fantastic show from the crispy single-drummer era, there's some really fun banter going on early in the second set as Bobby & Phil try to get the crowd to clear the aisles so the fire marshal doesn't shut them down. Specifically the second half of TLEO and Me And My Uncle - those should really be broken out into their own tracks on here for better visibility.
