    good sound audience, in fact what makes it sound good is that the sound got to exist , so albeit noisy audience, most tend to concur these are occasionally way more better to hear than the clean board, where the sound only got as far as, well, the board, and not out into a room the room reverbs and ambience is the thing that is almost never really caught on tape, and much of what made the sound so good at the venue, whichever venue, even if it was a s***** sounding place sound that actually…

    I'm probably in the minority here, but I prefer this poor sounding audience recording to the Dick's Picks clean sound. Maybe it's because I first heard this version back in the summer of '87 one evening in Boulder after eating some shrooms...this second set got firmly implanted in my brain. The Wharf Rat, 1/2 Step, and Playin are all totally unique versions, and then the jams that follow are mindbending. I've had an audience of this set which is a bit fast, but I love it.
