I love the wall of sound era for such beautiful clarity which created such a magnificent canvas for the boys to paint their masterpieces of which this is one of many. We Sat just right of center Behind the box seats right next to a young Jodi Foster who was there with her parents and back in the 70’s they used hired high school and college athletes as security and they were to put it mildly amateurs there to make a buck and quick to anger and a little rougher with the crowds then they were used…

There are some great 1974 soundboard shows, don't get me wrong, but the Wall of Sound needs to be heard from an audience recording to really appreciate what they built. This recording has everything, great positioning of the equipment, not a lot of audience mumbling, and great sound. If I spent a lot of money on recording equipment, got to the show, and found out I set up next to the nut with a whistle who attended most of the summer of 74 I would be p*****, but this guy got it right.

We were 6 boxes back, dead center. Loved this show! Back when they let you bring coolers, food and beer in to "picnic" in the box seats. Commander Cody and Maria were a great warm up for the boys. Phil and Ned about blew the top of my head off, and the Wall was something to see. Great recording to relive that beautiful day.
