Dicks Picks Volume 31. Absolutely stellar 20 minute Eyes (just like the other 74 versions.) Jerry goes the f*** off around the 13 minute mark. Shew! A f****** amazing Playing in the Band as well. The solos near the end are some of the best riffs I have ever heard Jerry play. OUT-O-HAND. In fact the Scarlet is particularly good on this show as well and then it goes back into Playing in the Band! All the jams are amazing in 74 (especially June.) Case closed.

This whole concert is fantastic, but I really want to say that this eyes of the world is the best I've ever heard, and for once it's NOT because of the jam after the song (in fact, it's a little too long for my taste, especially since it never goes anywhere, it just sort of dies out at the end). The two solos jerry takes in between the three verses are mind-blowing. I have never heard him play like that in ANY eyes ever; so fast, so beautifully phrased, so inspired.

Geez, almost 35 years ago...straining my memory but the music brings a few back. Guess it was July and we were ready for the show...dropped some acid and off we went...rain with thunder and lightning...stage was soaked...Phil came out with a clear plastic poncho that covered his guitar...when he tried to play sparks flew...the crowd went nuts (duh, everybody was trippin)...show was cancelled, rescheduled, blah, blah...had to go home trippin...who's driving?...where's the car?...came back on the…
