I have been hopeful of finding a good set list with equally good sound. I can say this is the Rx the doctor ordered. When the sound is right ---and it is right on! You can really grok just how together this band is. Given they are just getting their groove back on and making the adjustment back to two drummers, This is some kick butt rock and roll. Good 1st set. The PITB goes into a total meltdown nearly twice then eases every so gently into St. Stephen. Playin>Stephen>Wheel>Playin!

This is one of my favorite Dead shows. Some may prefer other shows in this June/July 76 run, which is valid! Jerry's playing is really on point throughout here. I think Keith and Donna both contribute a lot in this show as well. This Sugaree is my all time favorite, mostly due to Jerry's delicate, sophisticated and melodic solo breaks - the whole band seems to come together for some of these moments. Unbelievable melodies from Jerry here, IMO. St. Stephen and Row Jimmy are also favorites here.
- ★★★★★ · Stella Blue! · mgford25 · 2010
Lyrically this Stella is heart-wrenching, and Keith absolutely steals it, so much so that Jerry is content to merely mingle among Keith's keys rather than overshadow them . . . one of my favorites, with 6-15 and 7-18 of the same year. For Jerry ballads, you just can't get any better than 76!
