This is absolutely in the top 5 IMHO. For years I had only a hissy partial tape of the second set that was broadcast back in late '76 as part of the King Bisquit Flower Hour. I had a 25 year love/hate relationship with that tape. It began with Drums > Let it Grow > Wharf Rat. The long slow transition into Wharf Rat has got to be one of my all time favorite pieces of Grateful Dead music, and one that I had memorized note-for-note.

The sound quality on this is a lot better than last time. Maybe it's all in my head, though. Supplication is there 100% now. YAY! This is one that NEEDS to be heard. You can't listen to Let It Grow without Supplication first. So, best LL > Supplication and best Let It Grow. Hands down, IMO. Personally, this show doesn't start until Lazy Lightning, but when it does, it highlights each one of them SO well. It especially gives you insight into Bobby's amazing role with the rest of the boys.
