Finally after having listened to the albums for 5 years I was able to get to a show. The hiatus that started in Oct. '74 was of course a big reason for the delay. I was 17 in the summer of '76 and in those days, at that age, getting to shows in NYC or Boston was not easy from central CT. There's an added twist to to this that is kind of a long story. So, I'll make it brief to share the gist. Background info, J. Barlow, B Weir's lyricist went to college in Middletown CT. at Wesleyan.

My Brother and some friends were at the show. I've probably listened to this recording at least 70 times. So a couple of weeks ago I was only listening to the left channel on my headphones and @ 1:22 of Lazy Lightnin' I hear in the crowd "Hey Brew" I had to relisten 2 or 3 more times to be sure, but that's my brothers name... blew me away! Love to be there again, great people, never saw the riot, just a highlight of the summer. I love the AUD recordings, especially for the outdoor concerts.

Me and a couple of my buddies were at this show, and it was awesome! Great set list and encores. One of the big problems with Colt Park was the small entry / exit ways. You can't expect to squeeze so many people through such a small hole. I do remember that as e exited I saw fire and heard lots of sirens. Glad I was not involved in that! Great show regardless. I will never forget it. Had lots of fun and loved Might As Well as everyone sang along.
