2nd set. Quality okay. Smoking St. Stephen into Not Fade Away and back into St. Stephen. Dick's Picks Vol. 33. All around pretty damn awesome show.

not a huge '76 fan of what i've heard thus far...until i landed this show a while back (featured on DP 33). i gotta say, this is a really well played, energetic show. Of note for me is an excellently jammed Scarlet (garcia just has flurries of note flying everywhere) and easily the best franklins tower i've ever heard...blows away most '77 versions, which can be a bit slow and unfocused. The help>slip is different too and is nice to hear.

In most cases, the shows of '76 were slower, more exploratory shows, while the second set of this show just absolutely rips! The buildup from NFA back to St. Stephen sends shivers through me everytime with Jerry climaxing on the high Stephen note; they don't stop when the Stephen ends, other than for the crowd to take a short breath and BAM! right in Help and from here the show doesn't stop. One of my all time favorites. In my top 5 of second sets! Get Dicks Picks 33. You won't regret it!

top knotch shows ,10-9 10-10 and credit to D***'d Picks owed, they sound great and one can hear every note from start to finish, this is an excelent choice to release, there was a Cornell'ish buzz associated with them, and as a result it really overshadows some of the partial-show d***'s releases from the era. just add cottege, beer, girl, lake and sun. This would have also made a great dvd video!!! wish some of the WHO's performance was included, but im happy as it is.
