Had been seeing the Dead infrequently since 1973; Kezar with Waylon was #1. Was just 14 for that. By these shows I was a regular – hanging off the Winterland stage at Bob Fried Memorial; all but two shows at the Orpheum; Loved the shows with the Who; and the 3/18 show two nights prior was so much fun. After a day partying out front I was ready for another beaut.

This is a strong show throughout. Sound is crisp. Every song has it moments so I won't review everyone. However, pay attenetion to Scarlet Begonia's, it has a stronger than normal jam and stands alone great. St. Stephen>Other One>Stella very good with unique jams throughout, and a great transition from the spacy end of other one into stella. Two encores with a standard US Blues followed by a typical Terrapin that has a moment or two of its own.

right on the money...five stars for the 19th and 20th...I know "purists" (to steal a baseball term) will hate this but I did a three disc (omitted some of my lesser liked--to be kind--tunes) composite of the two nites that just is an absolute screaming freiking joy to listen to, which is what it really is all about anyhow...we all enjoy the boys in our own special way...thanks again to all involved in making this music available to us, we're sincerely forever in your debt, signed-grateful…
