    sorry for the cheesy pun, but.... it's f****** true, jizz... these cats are just smoking on this night. help/slip/frank is always great to hear, but it's jack straw that really starts to bring the hammer down. peggy-o is sparse and gorgeous, deal is boss as always from this yr, and this version of let it grow is one of my faves from this era, crushing and delicate at the same time. the second set is really where this scene starts to get wild.

    No it aint perfect, but is anything after 6/9/77?( or before!) maybe, it all hides subtle ideas for us to run with. Sometimes a small portion, a song, even an split second inside 3 hours of playing drives you and is worth the experience, Phils bass line in the second Roll Away the Dew in the First Corus of Franklin's Tower does that for me, a little John Kahn influenced maybe.
