Ok, i was 16, and went to the first night on the 16th. I had a car and these other guys had an extra ticket. I just had to come back and see if this stuff was as fun as it was supposed to be. So, my best friend and I schemed a way for us to get into the city and try for it. We did! And we happened to score 4 hits of some green dragon blotters. Ate them on the drive down. They hit us as we pulled into the parking garage across the street. We were no longer in this universe.

Fair-to-solid Uptown finale- also Keith's last show in Chicago. First set Jerry tunes are great: 8 minute Candyman, 15 minute Sugaree, and a 6 minute Stagger Lee. Bobby's slide in the mix leaves me scratching my head. I think his tunes sound better since he lays off on those, allowing Keith room for filling the holes. KG sounds really good on Sugaree. I think he typically sounded better during this late '78 period with JGB, anyhow, and of course this is a fairly standard JGB number.

Again, KUDOS to Charlie Miller. Another spectacular re-mix. I LOVE the stage banter between Jerry and Billy! "D***-Lips" LOL! A lot of F-Bombs, but you can see how they still enjoyed doing what they do...because they were the only ones who cuold do what they do.
