Lafayette College is my alma matter, so this show has always held a certain amount of curiousity to me. I attended in the late 80s, and the "best" act I can remember to ever play on campus while I was there was the Bangles, in late '88. So this show must have been a real treat. I can remember perusing an old yearbook as a freshman and seeing a writeup about this show, with pictures, etc.

I was a sophomore at Lafayette College when I attended this, my first, Dead show. I had been getting very familiar with their music for the previous 2 years, but this was (at the time)a little bit of a disappointment to me. The problem was I was way in back, too chicken/paranoid to work my way to the front, and the acoustics of the hall weren't very good. Plus I was disappointed that Keith and Donna weren't with them any more.
