Great show. It's cool to hear this early version of Lost/Saint--the lyrics in Saint of Circumstance are quite different from how it ended up. The music's pretty much the same, though they're still definitely feeling their way through that, too. An interesting opportunity to hear the evolution of such a great piece of music. The first Lost Sailor was just a month before this, not sure when they debuted Saint, or when they became essentially parts of the same song.

Brent was now solidly implicated in the GD conspiracy and we all benefited! If I recall correctly, this show took place right as we came back from summer break(I was just starting High School), so the morning after was the first day in a new school! I was still buzzing from god knows how many mikes the night before and couldnt have cared less! All I knew was all these kids were total saps for not being at MSG the night before. And we still had 2 nights coming!

Nothing spectacular. Nice long, loping Sugaree typical of the era. This early Sailor/Saint is worth a listen; different lyrics and feel. Around & Around, besides being one of my least favourites, is played with a totally lack of energy - a shame they ended the set that way. Bobby was wrong: the band DID stop rockin'! Nice Shakedown to round things out, though.
