Perhaps it was dumb of me, given that it was definitely the best sound they ever had at U.C.L.A. and consequently my best recording, when the soundboard came out I eventually taped over mine with the board! I too liked the "Stella Blue", but I liked others versions better for example, the one I recorded at Winterland '78, (mine doesn't cut like the board), or when it rained at Red Rocks earlier this year '79 so they had to move to McNichol's in Denver, not to mention although I wasn't there…

I love the early Brent years thanks to the access to shows this site provides. There was new blood, new life. Referenced the Good Lovin' just as an indication of why I keep streaming these years. High energy, well played....Brent was the man....sorry I didn't appreciate him more while at the shows back in the day. Hindsight 20/20.

Tis one of those shows where phil is dropping bombs all over the place he hits some deep bass notes in jackstraw wich is one of my favorite versions and big river also smokes big time.i also love the show exatley one month before 10/25/79 both of these shows are quite wonderful to the ears.
