Second night of a five night New Year's Eve run. We have already listened to the first night awhile back. Rockin Samson. Bob has crazy a** vocals on Feels Like Rain. Overall a fairly solid show. Lacks the fire of the other 79 shows I have heard.

These 5 nights at Oakland Auditorium Arena were awesome! All 5 shows, people! 12/26 is Dick's Picks 5, and the other 4 nights are just as good. If you don't believe me, then just listen to the crowd during each show. I would have given anything to be at any of these shows. Doesn't get much better than this! Anything from Fall/Winter 1979 is the f****** s***! Go read my SBD review from 12/28. By the way, I was able to download the 1st-set SBD from speedingarrow.net, before they shut it down.

My first Dead show. Case 'a Bud and a tab with my best high school friend. Jerry looked me in the eye after I yelled "China Cat!" He went right into the opening riff. So great to relive such a wonderful memory. OK, now listen to I Know You Rider--you might agree this is one of the best; Jerry is absolutely possessed.
- ★★★★ · China>Rider finally comes back to the Bay · airgarcia416 · 2017
This was the first China>Rider in the Bay Area since 10/20/74. Really good one at that - it's got some mustard on it fo show.
