i'm pretty sure there is not another transition like this estimated/uncle johns. i had to listen to it several times to make sure it was'nt a splice. completely out of the blue moment. the rat is really nice and the around/j.b. goode transition is another oddity. j.b. goode is one of the best jerry versions. whole show is worth a listen. jerry has major vocal flub in promised that's more funny than painful. 5 stars for unique moments.

A great show, with polysemic depth. All you statisticians from Canarsie (or a look at Deadbase) can correct me on this one, but I believe this night was the breakout, after a long hiatus, of Uncle John's and Brokedown (I heard them sound check Brokedown while I was lurking around the venue). This was significant because this was the Dead's first time in Greensboro after the Klan Massacre ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greensboro_massacre ), and I like to think they were making a statement.
