What a difference 8 months makes. The show at the same venue the year before was the lowpoint of my Live Dead experience and this was one of the highpoints. Just shows to go you that the venue didn't make much difference in the quality of shows. This show is my personal favorite from 1980. I attended every show in this tour, and in my opinion, this show is far superior to the Nassau shows that subsequently became the "Dead at Nassau" release.

Still cant believe I may listen to a show of the Dead, without interruption with such great quality. Its like having a time machine. I was able to record this on a DVD, no video, just all the sound in all its sweet glory. The only hiccup occurs inbetween songs, pretty unnoticable, the tape hiss is a nice reminder of days gone by and adds a bit of warmth to the recording. The mix is very friendly. The show itself sounds magical, I always try to pick out each part and then hear them all at once.

Very hot promised land, lazy lightning>supp is really really hot... ramble on rose this is some great music... Est>eyes++ If you like this check out the last night of Nassau a week or so more I went and like this it was very hot... I intially gave this a 4 however the truckin and stella bump this up - some may have issue with the quality however this really deserves it.
