Wow!! Would I love to have this one back! Third show, still just sort of dipping the toe in the water - no real context at the time for this crazy cool beautifully played set. Show on a Saturday, with semester finals beginning the following Monday - my ration for the night was a couple of cans of PBR we snuck in. The Minneapolis Reader, a free weekly, had an article on the Dead coming to town.

This is a superb set of GD music with curveballs and interesting wrinkles in songs throughout the set. Jerry is on it for sure but it is Brent who is often adding flowing sustained keyboard lines that hadn't been heard in GD music since the days of TC and Pigpen. Also, a great rhythm devils/space sequence. CM soundboard treatment makes this one an easy 5 star.

It would be great to have this entire show as a Board :) The transition from Wharf >Other One is such that no obvious clues given of the said transition (Then that drop-out) but a fine Other One. [I also like when they drop in a Wharf Rat before space.] [Nice to hear SHIP in between Stranger & Sailor>Saint] Miracle>Bertha>Sugar Mag-That is a different twist. enjoyed REVIEWS!
