  • ★★★★★ · Worth it just for Jerry's Mexicali Mariachi Impersonation · JohnnyBones · 2007

I think this show is crackling in parts. Listen to the Jerry Mexicali improv. Don't tell me he's not thinking Mariachi band during the final improv verse - Jerry's "Brass via Chords" sans MIDI! To think that they would play 100-200 nights a year and he'd come up with different phrasing and melodic ideas each time a song was played is what makes Jerry and the Dead so fantastic.
