Well if I was looking for the reviewers to sway me? --- Opinions all over the map on this one. I personally Favorited this before end of Jack Straw. Sound is over the top, HEADphones!!! Show is outstanding! (selection & execution) Is Weir high in the mix? (which he is) That's an opportunity to really check out his performance. His tune selection is GRATE His humor comes across /he never does the cowboy tunes with the same phrasing. This recording puts us side stage.

I would give this night out of the 3 the serious nod...although they are all very nice. This is certainly one of the very best recordings in my collection. VERY crisp. And the show, well as stated before Jerry sounds as good as he would ever be again...and the band is sooo tight. I think this is one of the best Terrapins I have ever heard...absolutely fantastic. The same for Ship. Super interesting Bobby throughout as well...the beginning of the cheese, but before it gets out of control.

I'm not saying this is the best Althea ever, but it is perfect. The jam out after the final verse is the music playing the band, six guys and an audience in mind meld. Kudos to the tapers - we owe so much to those who schlepped the gear and ducked the stiffs to bring back whatever they could get. They got a gem here. Listened to all three nights from this Uptown run and felt the band were getting hotter and hotter...lifting off to an inspiring and chilly spring tour.
