In a very strong but historically underrated year this is my favorite show of the excellent April East coast run. Why? This is, I think, a perfect example of the phenomenon of "the music playing the band." The vibe of the audience and the playing of the band are completely locked in by the end of a pretty darned wonderful 'Peggy-O'. By the time the band gets to the second set there is a marvelous and palpable intertia in the musicianship.

love a good Peggy-0- the way Jerry sounds on it his voice and guiter playing sounds so nice. Sugaree and Stella were real sweet also. I Checked out those 3 and I couldn't agree more with last review. This site is so awesome, Funny no one told me about it, I googled something for the Dead, Oh I remember now. I figured some David Gans(Dead hour) or whatever would come up , what a surprise .

was at this one. just an excellent show with tight jams and many highlights including peggy-o & stella. but the highlight of highlights is an extremely tight bird song where jerry & brent are so locked, it almost sounds written. jerry finishes it off with one of his greatest runs ever starting @ 5:30 that just brings the crowd to a collective orgasm. my fave bird.
