On the occassion of Jerry's Birthday 2006 I thought I would remind folks about the sweet birthday Jam of Playin > Iko in okc on his 40th. After the late night the night before the boys seemed kind of tired and this show was nice but fairly mellow. The highlight is the 2nd set opener, Playin/Iko.This was a real nice smallish (6,000 ppl) outdoor venue that was a favorite stop on the midwest summer tour in the 80's, with tall trees all around the perimeter and red mud beneath the grass.

This was a very well played solid show with some nice surprises along the way. I personally love the playin > Aiko > Lost Sailor> Saints. The playin is fairly short, but very well jammed followed by my personal favorite Aiko, played slowly with a nice funky groove for 10 minutes, a nice celebration for Jerry. the Lost sailor > Saint is great as well, its the only time I can recall that they jammed after "I'm gonna go for it ...for sure" and then come back to the refrain, very nice.

not too much high-end. Can hear bass notes clearly. Nice job taping, wonder if Healy made this. There's no messing around with the levels at the beginning, everything's just exactly perfect. 5 star quality. I didn't notice any problems with the performance- sounds like it was a fun, high-energy show.
