proviso: i give this show 5 stars based on great performance quality of the first set and crisp sound quality of the download. the show starts with a decent stranger (nothing to write home about unless the tour bus broke down and you have nothing else to do). decent FOTD, brent sounds pretty good on the piano setting. the real action starts with c.c. rider.

I remember Brent being introduced and he did a solo on the organ. I remember to this day the disticnt pop in my ears at the begining of the show. I was turned on to the Dead in New Mexico, 1980 ,on a back packing trip. I fell in love with the long melodic jams from the tape a gir gave me. This show is better than i remember. Thank's to the generosity of the Band who allowed the taping of their shows and the sharing of music we can all enjoy their music for years to come!

Guys you have to check this out - One of the best CC Riders ever and an incredible first set. Shocker start to finish. This and the Greek show with the Hells Angels and 4/16 are the hands down best of the whole year - This is a sick show. They loved this place....
