- ★★★★★ · Best ScarletFire ever? · scottfabry · 2006
I don't know if you can call any one ScarletFire the best but I think there is none better than 4-13-83. It's not the most powerful. It's not the longest. But there is no version second to this one. Why? Flawless. Sure, Jerry flubs a line in Scarlet but that doesn't deter from the excellence of this performance. ALL the jams build perfectly and crest and drop off like a perfect wave. Someone earlier talked about how they go back and forth in the transition and then, BAM! perfect Fire.

- ★★★★★ · I miss them terribly · 85 · 2006
As I sit in my office playing santa, wrapping presents, jamming and sippin' a little chivas regal ( a gift from a friend) I am once again blown away by the boys. The energy in the show reminds me of my first in 85 ( hampton) i started jammin on the dead in 83, i guess what freaks me out the most is how familiar every song is I've heard, it's like we heard it before we arrived on the planet, this show really digs down deep, it has the whole repetoire from ballads to country to jazzy jammin…
- ★★★★★ · scarlet fire transition...... unbelievable · slimboyhowdy · 2005
great sound quality (and i'm a TOTAL stickler for that....) i'm writing for one reason only. the transition from scarlet to fire is IMHO the best ever. now i know we all have our opinions, but i've never heard one like this. they tease fire a little, the f*** with it here and there, they noodle around it a few times -- you almost think they're not gonna do it, then with one descending run, BAM! billy and mickey on the cymbals and phil doesn't miss a trick. it's truly amazing.
