Imagine a 16 year old kid pulling into the parking lot in complete awe.... what a newbie I was!! Brown Eyed Women was when I was finally able to realize that I was really there. I was at a Grateful Dead show!!! China->Rider, Playin', Terrapin.... this is amazing!! Then the final punch of Goin Down the Road->Sugar Mag, and Satisfaction for the encore. What an unforgettable night!! A journey that lasts to this day... thanks so much to the tapers for all of the great recordings.

This was my first time in Philadelphia. I drove in with a buddy that is a native. We checked out the town a bit hooked up with his homies, partied hard, & had a great show. After the show we scooted to the two original cheese steak places in S. Philly Pat's & Jim's if I recall. Yellow florescent lights, grease dripping down my arm & the best kind of culture shock. 34 years ago today makes it the good old days for sure.

5 stars for Goin' Down The Road... One of those rare moments when Jerry goes liquid. Listen to the lead that starts at 3:50. Jerry strumming and leading in Sugar Mag not bad either. IMO...this is a perfectly good audience tape. Sounds exactly like a copy I traded for in the parking lot at Ventura w/ some east coast heads. It always was about SA-90 and XLII aud tapes for me. Just like you were there...
