What a 1st show man! I was 15, and changed forever! It was a Dead convention throughout the city, then we walked across a bridge over the Susquehanna to City Island... Awsome!!!!!!!

This was probably my 3rd dead show @ age 23. It was a hot, sweaty show down on the field up close to the stage. People were passing water, beer, booze, and smokes down to the front because of the heat and congestion. God Bless those kind folks! I think that the negative reviews of this show are unjustified as I've seen 65 or so shows since 83. It's not as good as Buffalo 88-89-90 or Alpine Valley, etc - but the band was in a real good mood and were playing great for an 1984 gig.

My 8th show and first outdoor concert. Vivid memory: A guy jumped up on the stage (before Estimated?) shook Bob Weir's hand, and jumped back into the crowd. We ridiculed the "Day Job" encore; some head sarcastically mentioned that it had gone number one on AM radio. Man, those were the days.
