    I was there, Weir was deafening in his distortion and raunch. I never heard him play like this before, posessed would be the appropriate term. The Sugaree is for the ages, one of a kind; not sweet, but, may i use the term...sick! Bird song takes it to another level. The second set blazes too. This was one of my top 5 of 43 shows. It was an incredible show, afterwards everyone was talking about how they hadn't seen a show that sounded like this one before. .

    This fall tour was raw rip roaring Grateful Dead. Freaky looking Jerry with his long hair and the rest of the boys just giving it there all. that said this is just one of outstanding nights. Love the Playing in the Band on this tour. In and out of it in so many ways. out of space into space out of Wharf Rat into China doll and completed the next night in Maine. Can't ask for better then that.
