Well you gotta hand it to Jer, his playing never suffers. But damn, in the audience from where I stand, you start to hear Dupree's and start thinking about all the singing coming up, and just start thinking, why in the hell would they pick that song? Tonight should have been a mostly Bob and Brent night. I watched the next night's video on YouTube. They open with Do it in the Road, with Phil and Brent. Jer sounds 1 slight notch better than tonight.

Was your review some kind of a joke or something? Are you just kidding me or what? Look, its no secret that some or all of the music at any given Grateful Dead show are at best mediocre. Having said that, this Chinacat Sunflower is just unbelievable. It was hearing this Chinacat that, for me, proved the existence of GOD. I suggest you listen to it again. I dunno, maybe you were listening to a different tape or something. And the Playin/Uncles is brilliant.

I was at these shows (I did the whole tour) and the boys positively rock the Spectrum to its foundation! So Jerry couldn't sing a lick by the end of the tour... who cares? These shows were absolutely amazing. Easily my favorites of the tour. Stop being so picky and just enjoy the music!
