This show was one of my all time favorites. It seemed like such a struggle to get there. We came from the Saratoga NY show and there was construction on the Highway and we decided to take a short cut. It may have been fewer miles but the speed limit was less and we went over some big mountains. It didn't look like that on the map. Out car was breaking down when we were seeing "next exit 11 miles" signs and when you got there it was just a road. Nothing else.

  • ★★★★★ · Nate took the brown acid · Chris U. · 2007

Poor Nate below thinks this show is "depressing." On the contrary, this show is another example of why the summer tour of 1985 was very special indeed. You want depressing? Listen to anything AFTER 1985, when good old Jer went down the tunnel and was never quite "right" afterwards. For me, it's all about the 2nd set. This version of Music is one of the all-time best with Weir, Phil and Jerry just wailing.
