Remember it well, an easy, last minute drive from CSU Chico and we were there! Psychedelic light show, warm comfort, friends, and a high energy show … Kaiser shows never disappointed in those days, and in the moment we knew this was a special one. So happy thinking back on these wonderful days gone by.

...the performance, (which was quite intense indeed, probably the best I've ever seen at a Grateful Dead show, given my first show being in '76, and since they seldom put as much emphasis on this after the early days, with this one being a huge exception)! But obviously, there is no video record of that as far as I know. By the way, I'm usually personally more interested in the music, no matter how good the lights are at any concert, i.e.

The last truly great yar for the Dead in my view Out of the 94 shows I saw, 26 were in '85. I missed these shows, although I did see the kaiser shows for Chinese New Year's, Mardi Gras/Valentine's Day and New year's '86, entire run each time. A very special place to see the Dead, you had to be there to understand. Great Playin, on of the few last good jams. I love help on teh Way but I can see why they shelve it for four years after this one.
