I was a transplanted seventeen year old fresh off the plane from North New Jersey to attend college in the Bay Area. I lived in Los Altos and was homesick to max. Back East, me and my buds used to see the GD at the Garden and Brendan Byrne Arena all the time but could never get too close. In between shows (which was months) we did shrooms and bong hits and watched A Clockwork Orange a lot. So I thought I'd get me a few tickets for the show to help me feel better and less homesick.

Steve Marcus (you know who he is right?) tapped me on the shoulder late in the second set and said "_____ stick around after the show" i say OK. i use to work for the band in the 80's. Right after everyone had been cleared out of the venue who didn't belong there THE PARTY STARTED!!! The Dead the Nevilles anyone and everyone played on that stage until 7:30 the next morning.
