Of all the recordings I beleive this one is less Boxy sounding and Phils bass is much better. Jack P and I were right in front of Jerry that night. I will never forget Jack P reaction to "box. We had done the wall two nights in a row and the plan was to vacate after the first set and I asked if he wanted to leave and he screams "Are you kidding they just played Box of rain". This Dew is second only to Augusta's for all my Dews.

I am usually not such a huge fan of non-dead songs, don't get me wrong I still love them just not as much as "real" dead songs like China Cat, Crazy Fingers, Terrapin, etc. Anyways, this morning dew is incredibly! Out of the tons of shows I have listened to this one always grabs my attention. I know many people often overlook 86 because of Jerry's condition by then, but if one takes a closer look they will not be let down. A wonderful Sailor>Saint and oh yeah did I mention the Dew :)

Of the three sources offered here, I think this one (the Nak source) is my favorite. The sound is fuller and more balanced than the other two sources, although they are both also solid audiences. Between the other two, the Nawrocki source has the edge. For what it is worth, a soundboard definitely exists. My old cassettes are soundboard for the first set and second set through drums, though the audiences work wonderfully for capturing the electrifying energy that the Spectrum usually generated.
