The Grateful Dead played stellar this night. The jam in the 2nd set is my favorite all time moment.I remember the sound was deep and thunderous and they had a new modern sound compared to the year before. The jam just stunned me so did the fungus.I never heard music like that before except 12/29/88 jam.Very dark yet spirtual. It was the summer when there was no smoke. Daytime shows.

There are longer shows, and there are shows where Jerry is clearly more interested in sticking around, but this show deserves a second look. The first set doesn't do a lot for me, but I really enjoy the second set. The Playin' starts out strong and just gets *bent*. I don't know if the band was too, um, preoccupied to develop much more than two distinct songs before the drums, but the Playin'->UJB->Jam sequence is really, really jangly, with outstanding stuff from Bobby and the drummers.
