This weekend was the most fun I had in my whole GD experience. Weather was great, 50,000 people camping etc. First time I ever tried Calamari (yes they were selling Calamari in the show ). Lying down on the ground at the bottom of the hill near the stage u could feel the earth moving due to the lagoons under neath (very nice effect).

This was my first full Dead show although I did see JGB in '84 at Club Casino in Hampton Beach, NH. I too remember the bouncy ground down on the left side of the stage. It was like walking on a huge blister on the ground. I came back and told my girlfriend about it and she just looked at me like yeah, right. Ry Cooder opened and was fantastic. I had never seen him before but every song made you want to dance.
