I just read a review of one of the "Fillmore east 70" concerts which says: "this is a prime example of not only why we belong to this community, but why there is a community to begin with!" In my opinion, this is an example, why the community remained! And not only that, it clearly shows why it´s still growing. I´m unfortunately born too late, and in the wrong country, to be a original Deadhead, but I nevertheless consider myself being part of them.

This is one of those shows where it wouldn't matter how they played, because they kicked down with such a fun, interesting and surprising setlist. Scarlet in the first freaking set! Devil with a Blue Dress! Bertha>Greatest Story! On top of it, they played great! Bonus! This was one of those long series of shows at the Garden, where you could get jaded but had better not. Just when you waver - should I see the 7th show, or not? - they would kick down big time. Be there!

I still remember standing in the back of the garden with a ticket for this and ready to go but I had just started a new job and had to arrive at 0700 to a non-dead friendly mgmt + I was in a pin striped suit so people would think I was a narc... Show was great as you can see with a gutsy first set scarlet into LRR - You can hear the crowd bum as this was pretty overused at this time and after hearing the first few bars you know they will just nail it and they did....
